MOULTRIE — Thieve and vandals accounted or the loss of some $8,000 in property over the weekend. The incidents included:
Moultrie Police
• Randy Robinson reported someone threw a rock through a window at his house on Seventh Street Northwest Friday. Damage was $300.
• A Grady County sheriff’s investigator reported Friday a known male customer forged and cashed a stolen check at Harvey’s Supermarket on First Avenue Southeast Aug. 30. The amount of the check was $475, and it was reported stolen from a business in Cairo Aug. 29.
• Wandell Ridley, of 10th Street Northwest, reported a thief punctured a tire, broke the driver’s side window, keyed and spray painted all over the outside and on the seats of her Lexus GS 300 and stole a Pioneer CD player Friday. The value of the stolen CD player was $450.
• Jamar Walker reported a thief pulled down drywall and stole all the copper wire from a house under renovation on Second Court Northwest Friday. The value of the stolen copper was $3,800.
• Cynthia Harrison reported a thief stole $825 cash from her purse while she was at Express Lane on South Main Street between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday.
• A woman reported a white male came up behind her and fondled her while she was at Rose’s Department Store on Sixth Street Southeast Friday.
• Monique Bedard reported a thief stole a Garmin GPS device from the Wayne County school bus while it was parked at Mack Tharpe Stadium on Stadium Drive Friday. The value of the stolen GPS system was $250.
• An attendant at Murphy Express on South Veterans Parkway reported a thief pumped $190.09 in gasoline Friday and left without paying for it. The vehicle used was a white Ford Econoline van, driven by a Hispanic male, and officers were given a photo of the van and driver but were unable to get a tag number.
• Shaquita Singletary reported she was hit in the left arm by a vehicle as she walked on Fifth Street Northwest Saturday and sped away. Singletary refused transport after being evaluated by Colquitt County EMS.
• Stacey McMurphy, of 27th Street Southeast, reported a male acquaintance stole two gold rings, a diamond ring, a green diamond ring and a silver necklace with a cross charm Saturday. The value of the stolen items was $440.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Brandon Pope reported a male acquaintance hit his Chevrolet Corsica with an antenna three times while it was parked at a house on Old Doerun Road Friday. There was damage to the hood, trunk and a passenger door.
• Isidro Zepeda reported a thief hit him in the back as he was fishing on Bob Sims Road Friday, demanded money and stole his wallet.
• Billy May, of Cannon Road, reported a thief stole his Oldsmobile Cutlass from under a shelter and damaged the shelter between 8 a.m. Thursday and noon Friday. The value of the stolen car was $200.
• Linda Sanchez, of Highway 33 South, reported a male relative stole a diamond ring and pawned it between 8 a.m. Thursday and 1 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen ring was $500.
• Tim Crumbley, of Myron Hart Road in Coolidge, reported a thief stole a window air conditioning unit, a silver chain, a gold chain with a diamond pendant and a silver chain with an onyx charm between noon Thursday and 8 a.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen items was $735. Crumbley gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a female suspect.
• Norma Johnson, of Dandron Road, reported Sunday a thief stole three checks from her mail. The amount of the stolen checks was $2,525.
