Arrests made; thefts investigated

Staff Reports

MOULTRIE — The Wednesday crime report showed that several persons had been arrested on a wide array of charges and several incidents of property theft were under investigation by local law enforcement. They included:

Moultrie Police

• Carmen Michelle Pecina, 35, of 227 Magnolia Ave., was charged Tuesday with theft by shoplifting (second offense) and probation violation.

• Crystal Diane Murillo, 20, of 1825 Fourth St. in Sarasota, Fla., was charged Tuesday with theft by shoplifting.

• Jimmy Lee III, 27, of 1313 12th St. N.W., was charged Tuesday with simple assault (family violence).

• Felipe Terrazas, 29, of 1200 Highway 33 S., was charged Wednesday with driving with a suspended license.



Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• Julio Gomez Velasquez, 23, of Sardis Church Road, was charged Tuesday with driving without a license, improper passing, probation violation and a bench warrant.

• Parker Giles, 28, of 3555 Doerun-Norman Park Road in Norman Park, was charged Tuesday with possession of a cell phone while incarcerated.



Georgia State Patrol

• Jose Manuel Munoz, 20, of 139 Watson Circle in Omega, was charged Tuesday with driving without a license and obstruction.

• Tabatha Renee McClelland, 32, of 3508 Sylvester Drive, was charged Monday with failure to stop at a stop sign and being a habitual violator.



Other Incidents:

Moultrie Police

• Charlotte Law, of West Boulevard, reported a thief stole a diamond ring, a 20-inch television, a Dewalt reciprocating saw and cash Monday. The value of the stolen items was $2,050. Law gave officers the name of a female suspect.

• An employee at Quick Mart on the West Bypass reported Tuesday a known male customer forged and cashed a stolen check. The amount of the forged check was $246.

• Dennis Fast reported a male acquaintance stole copper gas lines from his rental house on First Avenue Southeast Tuesday. The value of the stolen copper was about $501. • An employee at Circle N Petro on Camilla Highway reported someone damaged the roof Tuesday. Damage was about $300.

• Janice Lawton, of 10th Avenue Southeast, reported a thief stole an Apple iPod and two LG cell phones from her son’s backpack Tuesday. The value of the stolen items was $169.

• An employee at L&D; Auto Sales on First Avenue Southeast reported someone broke out a passenger window of a GMC Yukon Tuesday. Damage was estimated at about $150.



Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office

• An employee at Bivins Automotive on Tyson Street reported a thief broke out a passenger window of a customer’s Toyota 4Runner and stole a CD player and an amplifier between 8:30 a.m. Monday and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
