Reported thefts top $4,000

MOULTRIE — Three Colquitt County residents reported Wednesday they were victims of property theft. Items reported stolen included electronics, car stereo equipment, jewelry, firearms and tools.

The value of the items reported stolen and damage caused during the thefts was estimated at $4,125. Those who reported being victims of theft were:

• Cray Brooks, of 10th Avenue Northwest, reported a thief broke out the driver’s side window of her Ford Explorer and stole a Pioneer CD player between 1 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday. Damage and the value of the stolen CD player was estimated at $500.

• Carol Booth, of East Central Avenue, reported a thief pried open her back door, broke a window latch and stole a rental DVD between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 9 p.m. Wednesday. Damage and the value of the stolen DVD was estimated at $175.

• Barbara Cosey, of East Mulberry Street in Funston, reported a thief stole a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber handgun, a Stihl chainsaw, coins, 11 diamond rings and a Sony PlayStation between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:50 p.m. Wednesday. The value of the stolen items was $3,450.



Arrests

Moultrie Police

• Latoya Vontrica Thomas, 25, of 501 First Ave. S.W., was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct.

• Adrian Royce Whitaker, 33, of 501 First Ave. S.W., was charged Wednesday with disorderly conduct.



Colquitt County S.O.

• Cameron Anderson, 17, of 160 Country Circle, was charged Wednesday with theft by receiving stolen property.

• A 14-year-old girl was charged Wednesday with being an unruly child.



Norman Park Police

• Joshua Dewayne Sanders, 19, of 133 Carlton Drive in Norman Park, was charged Tuesday with battery (family violence).



Other Incidents

Moultrie Police

• An officer on patrol found someone pulled a storage shed door off its hinges at Pizza Hut on First Avenue Southeast Thursday. Damage was $100.
