MOULTRIE — Colquitt County residents and businesses reported they were victims of 14 separate incidents of property theft over the weekend. Items reported stolen ranged from gasoline, cash and tools to air conditioners, a cell phone and a car.

The known value of the items reported stolen was estimated at approximately $9,925.63. Those who reported being the victims of thefts were:

• Ken Weaver reported a thief pumped $27.53 in gasoline at Farmer’s Fuel on Fourth Avenue Northeast Saturday fraudulently using an account owned by Verdell Blount. Weaver described the vehicle used as a green Toyota Corolla, driven by a thin black male wearing baggy shorts and dreadlocks, and he gave officers the vehicle’s tag number.

• Kenneth Edwards, of Seventh Avenue Southeast, reported a thief kicked open his front door and stole a window air conditioning unit, 25 assorted hand tools and nine rods and reels between 5:30 a.m. Thursday and 6:05 p.m. Friday. Damage and the value of the stolen items was estimated at $1,160.

• An attendant at Enmark on First Avenue Southeast reported a thief pumped $30.10 in gasoline Friday and left without paying for it. The attendant described the vehicle used as a Dodge truck, driven by a Hispanic female, but she could not give officers its tag number.

• Videl Slaughter, of 10th Avenue Northwest, reported a male acquaintance stole a window air conditioning unit, breaking the wall and the window, Friday. Damage and the value of the stolen air conditioning unit was about $1,200.

• Jennifer Thomas reported a thief stole a Wacker concrete saw from R.B. Wright Elementary School on Second Street Southeast between 5 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen concrete saw was $883.

• Jean Fuller reported a thief stole a stove, washer, dryer and refrigerator and damaged a back door, interior door and four window screens at a rental house on Ninth Avenue Northeast Friday. Damage and the value of the stolen items was estimated at $905. Fuller gave officers the name of a former female tenant suspected of the damage and thefts.

• Eueles Randolph, of 27th Street Southeast, reported a thief stole a Cingular cell phone from his Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck between 11 p.m. Thursday and 7:31 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen cell phone was $200.

• H.R. Lipsey, of Highway 111, reported a thief stole his Chevrolet Lumina from under his carport between 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen car was $3,000.

• David Brumley, of Sinclair Road, reported a female acquaintance stole $530 cash from his wallet between June 19 and Saturday.

• Bobby Avery, of Rossman Dairy Road, reported a thief stole two Zebco combination rods, an acoustic guitar, a Gibson acoustic guitar and an electric guitar between 10 p.m. July 25 and 10 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was approximately $200. Avery gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.

• Pablo Cantu, of Highway 133 South, reported Saturday a thief stole two grass trimmers from his shed July 6. The value of the stolen weed eaters was $240.

• Mike Daniels, of Vinson Road, reported a thief stole a 4-by-8-foot tilt trailer and a Scott riding mower between 2 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen items was $1,000.

• Miranda Toral, of Overlook Drive, reported a thief stole a window air conditioning unit and a baby car seat between 12:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Saturday.

• David Jackson, of Highway 270 West, reported a thief stole a Honda engine from his yard between 7 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen engine was $550.



Arrests

• John Marquis Moore, 21, of 115 Joe Louis Ave., was charged Sunday with illegal window tinting, no proof of insurance, driving with a suspended tag and resisting arrest.

• Two 15-year-old boys were each charged Friday with theft by taking.

• Malissie Thornton Kinyashi, 31, of 438 Dunn Road, was charged Friday with theft by conversion.

• Patrick Twiggs, 24, of 410-D Seventh Ave. N.W., was charged Friday with disorderly conduct.

• Antonio Londard Stewart, 23, of 818 Third Ave. S.W., was charged Friday with battery (family violence).

• Jose Ramon, 24, of 2221 Highway 133 S., was charged Saturday with DUI, driving without a license (second offense) and failure to maintain lane.

• Corrie Hannah Adamson, 20, of 202 W. Longleaf Drive, Apt. 1124, in Auburn, Ala., was charged Saturday with speeding and driving with a suspended license.

• Patricia Crawford, 43, of 1108 Third St. S.E., was charged Saturday with a sound-making device violation.

• Hugo Rodriguez, 37, of 127 WMTM Road, was charged Sunday with DUI, driving without a license and failure to maintain lane.



Other Incidents

• Anthony Hamilton, of Hillcrest Avenue, reported a female acquaintance broke out a window of his front door during an argument Sunday. Damage was estimated at $250.

• Olivia Lewis, of Eighth Street Southwest, reported Friday someone used her name and information to get two student loans from Xpress Loan Servicing in Cleveland, Ohio. The amount of the student loans was $31,602.41. Lewis found out about the student loans through bills she had received from the loan servicing company.
