MOULTRIE -- Two men recently were indicted by a Colquitt County grand jury for allegedly forcing sex on a 6-year-old girl.
James Ray Newton Jr., 29, 278 Dickerson Road, was indicted on rape, child molestation, aggravated sodomy and incest.
Arthur Shannon Mullis, 23, 5309 Ga. Highway 37 W., Hartsfield, was indicted on aggravated child molestation.
The alleged offenses occurred sometime between July 2003 and November 2004, court records said.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty, records said.
In another sexual molestation case, Billy Frank Wisenbaker, 42, 159 E. Mulberry St., was indicted on aggravated sodomy and three counts child molestation for allegedly victimizing a 10-year-old girl sometime between August 2003 and March 2005, court records said.
Other recent felony criminal indictments in which the defendants will be arraigned on July 5 before Judge Richard M. Cowart:
- George Wallace III, 28, 311 Ninth Ave. N.W., second degree criminal damage to property.
- Sophia Mitchell Sanders, 27, and Willie B. Sanders, 32, first degree cruelty to children for allegedly striking their child with an electrical cord in January. Sanders was indicted on an additional charge of first degree cruelty to children for allegedly kicking the same child about the head and face.
- Earl Alexander Robertson, 27, 300 Third St. S.W., aggravated assault, two counts misdemeanor cruelty to children, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, three counts terroristic threats and two counts false imprisonment. On March 17, Robertson allegedly threatened Seretha Williams, 20, with a .25-caliber pistol while keeping her children, ages 2.5 and 1 month, from her. The defendant also faces charges of allegedly threatening to burn the residence they were in and kill Williams, Rita Croker, 40, and a 15-year-old girl, court records said.
Robertson has a prior aggravated assault conviction, records said.
- Donnie T. Pinkard, Homerville, kidnapping, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, burglary, theft by taking motor vehicle, theft by receiving property stolen in another state, misdemeanor theft by taking, two counts first degree arson and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Pinkard is accused of holding Brandi Warren against her will and burglarizing Lifespring Church, 2010 Highway 133 S. He's also charged with burning the houses of Martin Hurst, 275 Cherry St., Norman Park, and Charles Myers, 866 R.L. Norman Road, Norman Park, on Jan. 1, 2004.
Pinkard has a 1994 conviction of burglary in Liberty County, court records said.
- Xavier L. Sims, 116 Church St., Ellenton, burglary and theft by receiving stolen property. Sims allegedly burglarized a residence at 225 Church St., Ellenton, Feb. 16.
- Christopher E. Robichaud, 21, 121 Chafin St., Norman Park, theft by taking motor vehicle, nine counts entering a motor vehicle with intent to commit a theft, misdemeanor theft and misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
- Darrien D. Lee, 21, 325 Old Pepper Ave., Doerun, two counts first degree forgery and misdemeanor obstruction.
- Sebastian Bartolome, 29, 705 Sardis Church Road, aggravated assault. On Feb. 25, Bartolome allegedly cut Guadalupe Ruiz with a knife on the left side of her throat, left arm and above her left eye.
- Noah L. Sangster, 21, 1620 Overlook Drive, burglary. On Dec. 31, 2004, Sangster allegedly burglarized a warehouse at 138 Jones Lane.
- Richard Anthony Moore, 47, 404 Third St. N.W., and Rosie L. Williams, 43, 915 Fourth St. S.W., were each indicted on one count trafficking cocaine and giving a false name to law enforcement for alleged offenses in April 4, 2004.
- Demory L. Herrin, no information, and Amy J. Strickland, 29, Blackshear, were each indicted on charges of methamphetamine possession, crossing guard lines with a controlled substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The alleged offenses occurred Feb. 26.
- Robert Charles Calhoun, 36, 816 Third Ave. N.W., possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Officers arrested Calhoun March 26 with 11 rocks of crack cocaine on his person in the 100 block of Fifth Street Northwest.
- Pamela L. Crawford, 24, 1003 14th St. S.E., possession of crack cocaine for alleged offenses occurring in the 100 block of First Street Northwest May 3.
- Robert Lee Smith III, 29, 18 Hillcrest Ave.; Michael J. Hardy, 25, 3109 N. Veterans Parkway; and Christopher J. Jarrell, 31, 6529 Old Adel Road, each were indicted on one count of cocaine possession and one count marijuana possession. Smith also was indicted on kidnapping, simple battery and misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer. Hardy had an additional indictment of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
- Jimmy C. Ellis, 37, 218-A Third St. S.W., and Peggy D. Wright, 32, same address, each were indicted on theft by receiving stolen property and theft by taking. Ellis and Wright allegedly had in their possession Jan. 11 a laptop computer valued at $1,000 stolen from Okapilco Elementary School.
- Marvin P. Brown Jr., 21, Valdosta, burglary for allegedly stealing firearms that belonged to Donnie Kilgore from 739 Circle Road. Leonard A. Johnson, 32, 316 Ninth St. S.W.; Winston D. Revels, 0, 610 Fifth St. S.E.; each were indicted on one count theft by receiving stolen property. Revels has an additional count of theft by receiving stemming from the allegations.
