Kids Safety Expo planned for Saturday

MOULTRIE — Several south Georgia agencies will come together Saturday for the Moultrie Kids Safety Expo. The event will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Edwards Motors, 1825 Veterans Parkway.

In addition to free safety information, there will be door prizes, the smoke house simulator, the DUI simulator, Sparky the Fire Dog, the Crash Test Dummies and the Batmobile from Valdosta.

Participating agencies include police departments from Moultrie, Valdosta, Adel and Lenox; sheriff’s departments from Colquitt, Lanier and Tift counties; Georgia State Patrol Post 12; Moultrie Fire Department; Southside, Berlin and Funston volunteer fire departments; Georgia Forestry Commission; Colquitt  County EMS; MADD South Georgia; Georgia Children’s Safety Team; and the Tifton-Tift County Animal Shelter.
