Weekend thefts: $35,000
MOULTRIE —
A business employee and 15 Colquitt County residents reported they or their family members were recent victims of property theft. Items reported stolen included jewelry, guns, electronics, window air conditioners, bicycles, furniture, yard equipment, cash, a go-cart, tools and English learning kits. The theft reports came from all around the city and county.
The value of the items reported stolen and damage caused during the thefts was nearly $35,000. Those who reported being the victims were:
• Joshua Giddens, of 26th Avenue Southeast, reported a thief stole his wallet, his Social Security card, an insurance card and a debit card from his Saturn SC2 between 10 p.m. Thursday and 9:11 a.m. Friday. Damage and the value of the stolen items was $5,004.
• Julie Dennis reported a thief stole a Mauser revolver from her brother’s apartment on 31st Avenue Southeast between Wednesday and 9:33 a.m. Friday. The value of the stolen revolver was $500.
• Eva Yates reported a thief stole a window air conditioning unit from her daughter’s house on Ninth Street Northwest Friday. The value of the stolen air conditioner was $500.
• Arthur Jenning, of South Main Street, reported a thief broke out a window, forced open the front door and stole a Dell computer, an RCA 32-inch television, a diamond and sapphire ring, a gold necklace, a pearl bracelet and a beaded bracelet Friday. The value of the stolen items was about $4,733.
• Samantha Doile, of Hillcrest Avenue, reported a thief stole a Huffy bicycle and a Surge bicycle from her front porch Saturday. The value of the stolen bicycles was $200.
• An employee of Forest Hills Apartments on 10th Street Southeast reported a thief stole computer equipment between 2:40 p.m. Friday and 12:53 a.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen items was about $1,000.
• Kristy Bouie, of 10th Avenue Southeast reported a thief stole $100 cash from her wallet between 3:30 a.m. and 9:48 a.m. Sunday.
• Christopher Bennett, of Tree Farm Road, reported a thief stole a television and gold and silver women’s jewelry between 9 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. Saturday. The value of the stolen items was $600. Bennett gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a male suspect.
• Chad Eunice reported July 12 a thief forced the door on his storage building on Lower Meigs Road and stole two couches, a love seat, a Cub Cadet lawn tractor, a dining room table, five chairs, a Sony PlayStation 2, 25 PlayStation 2 games and 255 feet of copper wire July 1. The value of the stolen items was $5,981.
• Ronnie Aldridge, of Highway 319 North in Norman Park, reported a thief stole a go-cart from his front porch between 1:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. Monday. The value of the stolen go-cart was $350.
• Alfredo Reyes, of Tallokas Road, reported a thief stole 55 DVD’s, two Ingles Sin Barreros learning kits, four gold rings, a pair of earrings and two bracelets Sunday. The value of the stolen items was $1,045.
• Lyndon Gammage reported a thief broke out a bedroom window at his niece’s house on Yates Lane and stole a Sony PlayStation 3 between 7 p.m. Saturday and 8 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen game system was $399.
• Khristopher Lattrell reported a thief stole an air conditioning unit, a Poulan chainsaw, a Poulan blower, a Snapper riding mower, a Poulan riding mower and buckets with steel brackets inside from his property on Indian Lake Drive between noon Wednesday and noon Saturday. The value of the stolen items was $3,645.
• James Troutman, of Magnolia Avenue, reported a thief stole a Delta table saw from his shop between 2 p.m. Wednesday and noon Saturday. The value of the stolen table saw was $200. Troutman gave sheriff’s deputies the name of a female suspect.
• Gregory Ward, of Quail Ridge, reported a thief stole a Sony Xplode 1,100-watt amplifier and a USA America 500-watt amplifier between 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 4:10 p.m. Friday. The value of the stolen amplifiers was $1,500.
• Maria Bennett, of Indian Lake Drive in Norman Park, reported a thief stole children’s clothing, $550 cash, a Benelli 12-gauge shotgun, a Remington 30-06 rifle with scope, a 30-06 rifle with Tasco scope, four ruby and diamond bracelets, three diamond bracelets and two gold bracelets between 7:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The value of the stolen items was $8,951.

Moultrie Police
• An employee at Northgate Apartments on Fourth Avenue Northeast reported someone damaged plants, an irrigation system and a van Friday. Damage was about $100.
• Mary Davis, of Second Street Southeast, reported someone broke out the rear window of her Dodge Caravan with a beer bottle Saturday.
• Stephanie Jarvis reported someone slashed two tires on her Mazda 626 while it was parked at Wal-Mart on South Veterans Parkway between 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 4:10 p.m. Sunday. Damage was about $500.
Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office
• Jennifer White, of Highway 33 South, reported someone broke the door handle off her daughter’s Volkswagen Beetle between 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday.
