The Sunshine Club of Oak Dale Baptist Church met in October and was entertained by Genelle O’Neal, shown, with her humorous stories and jokes. The club members seemed to enjoy the stories as they could relate to many of them. Faye Rowe presided over the meeting. Gary Morris used as his devotion, Genesis 5:24. The minutes were read by Laura McCorkle. Visiting the homebound friends was discussed and members were assigned months to visit. The birthday honorees for the month of October were Doris Abbott and Dorothy Spruill. Mildred Rentz and Shirley Mims decorated the tables with flowers. Door prizes were given to Lorena Barhite, Faye Rowe, Dorothy Spruill, and Doris Abbott. Mildred Rentz dismissed the group.
