The late Anne Norman was known for riding her bicycle around Moultrie. To keep her memory alive, family and friends created Anne’s Bicycles for Children, which provides new bikes to children, in Moultrie, who are identified by the Victim’s Advocate program. Anne’s Bicycles for Children, which is in its sixth year, was able to give out 125 bicycles to local, needy children this year during Christmas, said Margaret Stewart, one of its organizers. This organization meets at the Colquitt County Arts Center before Christmas Eve each year, so, that ‘Santa’s Helpers’ can pick up the bikes to be delivered on Christmas morning. Caleb Bell, foreground, a volunteer, helps get the bikes ready for pick-up. For more information about donating to this organization, please contact Stewart at margaret305@msn.com.
