MOULTRIE —
The City of Moultrie’s Main Street Program and Marketing Department is conducting a survey to gather information on how to improve the downtown area.
“These questions will give you, the community, a chance to tell us what you would like to see in Downtown Moultrie,” said Amy Johnson, Main Street director. “We want to better understand our local businesses and what kind of programs and resources our area needs.”
The survey covers a variety of subjects, including retail, service, dining, streetscapes, events, parking and amenities
The survey is available online at www.moultriega.com, www.downtownmoultrie.com and on the City of Moultrie’s new facebook page.
Paper copies of the survey are available at the Main Street Office at 120 N. Main St. Request a copy through the mail by calling (229) 890-5455.
Individual responses will remain confidential and no names or information will be used in the final report. The final report will be used as a resource for business recruitment, real estate professionals, developers, and planners, Johnson said.
If you choose to leave your email or phone number on the survey, you will be entered into a drawing for a cash prize, she said.
“We need to know what our community is wanting and what they like,” she said. “It is crucial for us to have over 1,000 completed surveys.”
Valdosta State University marketing intern Anne-Mariea Woodward has been working with the city this summer and has put the survey together, Johnson said..
If there are any questions, Johnson or Woodward can be reached at 890-5455.
