Colquitt County Schools spelling bee was held Friday. Pictured are winners Christian Bowen, left, third place of Okapilco Elementary, Jett Kiminas, first place of Sunset Elementary, and Clint West, second place of Odom Elementary. Kiminas will represent the school system in the Feb. 23 region bee at C.A. Gray Junior High. Other school winners were Andrea Hernandez of Cox Elementary, Ragan Harden of Doerun Elementary, Autumn Hampton of Funston Elementary, Gabe Shivers of Hamilton Elementary, Joshua Doile of Norman Park Elementary, Carter Boatwright of R.B. Wright Elementary, Sam Kundi of Willie J. Williams Middle and Savonte Wilson of C.A. Gray. Sponsors for the event were: Colquitt County Association of Educators, Colquitt County School Schools, Moultrie Technical College, The Moultrie Observer, Beau Sherman of CNN Broadcasting, Dairy Queen, Moultrie Women's Federated Club and Georgia Association of Educators.
